The Chewing Tobacco Withdrawal Timeline

Day 3 of our Chewing Tobacco Withdrawal Timeline: Most describe this day as the worst of the first three, but every quit is different. Remember how this feels, bottle it, for later.  One day you will be tested, and when that day comes, you will need remember how this feels so that you wont ever have to go through it again.

Day 4 of our Chewing Tobacco Withdrawal Timeline: According to research, the nicotine should be close to or completely out of your body. This doesn’t mean the end of withdrawal, but now is when your brain and body start rewiring its chemistry.

Day 7 of our Chewing Tobacco Withdrawal Timeline: You have successfully been quit for an entire week, congratulations. You are still feeling the symptoms of withdrawal, but they lessen and become less frequent with each day.

Day 14 of our Chewing Tobacco Withdrawal Timeline: You are starting to feel a lot better, you still have craves, but it is becoming more manageable. A lot of quitters feel so good at this point that they let their guard down, this is one of the biggest mistakes you could ever make.

Day 21 of our Chewing Tobacco Withdrawal Timeline: All quitters and quits are different, but a lot of quitters describe what we call a ‘funk’ around the three week mark. Some describe it as being close to or as bad as the first three days. It usually only lasts a couple days, so know that there are good days just around the corner.

Day 30 of our Chewing Tobacco Withdrawal Timeline: You are now four weeks quit and starting to feel a lot better. Your craves and other symptoms are getting further and further apart, your starting to heal.

Day 60 of our Chewing Tobacco Withdrawal Timeline: You are now quit for 2 months, and starting to feel really good. Things that used to seem impossible, are now doable. Your confidence is high, as it should be. Just know, you must still keep your guard up because a lot of quitters have a big test right around the corner.

Day 90 of our Chewing Tobacco Withdrawal Timeline: You are quickly approaching the 100 day mark, time usually flies up until this point, but many quitters describe time dragging between here and 100. Many quitters also describe another funk around the third month mark. Some compare it to the withdrawal of the first week, many experience a bout of depression or the ‘emotional despair’. Things are going to get way better, keep that in the back of your mind. Its time to start thinking about your 100 day Milestone Insight.

Day 180 of our Chewing Tobacco Withdrawal Timeline: Six months, this is huge. You are through the worst of it. Life is starting to look a lot better and your confidence is very high, as it should be. There will be a few little bumps in the road, but it should be clear sailing to your first year quit.

Day 365 of our Chewing Tobacco Withdrawal Timeline: Congratulations. You have made it too 365 days quit! This truly is something to celebrate. You have seen every season, done all the things you thought you couldn’t without chewing tobacco, and you came through on top. You must not think of this as the end, it is more of a beginning. Stay vigilant, keep the quit site close, and enjoy your freedom.
