Hello Quitters:

Did you feel the chill in the morning? Or the nipple hardening at night when you thought “oh crap I shoulda grabbed a sweatshirt”? Yes fall is almost here. I shut off the A/C last night. All the windows are open, welcoming in the cool morning air. I think back. It’s almost two years now since my last chew. Fall is full of trip ups, craves if you will.

The kids are at football practice. The cheerleaders are shouting again. Fall soccer fields are full. My doe tags just got sent in the mail. Some of the old thoughts are creeping back in. Can I use the chain saw with out a dip? Will a Buck die with out my Sunday before cigar? Can the truck even get up to the cabin with out my trusted pack of Swisher Sweets?

I know the mower works. I have used it all summer. I know fish bite with out dip. But fall time is solo times. Some of us get away for a few days or a week or so. With no one around too watch us. Making it even hard to use your tools you have in place any other time of the year. I know at my cabin. I need to drive about 5 miles to make a call. And drive about 15 to have net on the phone. I go there or get away from “LIFE” but I now know that life is my “Life Boat”. When I’m in the middle of a full fledged attack from the “Bitch” will I have enough fight to drive 5-15 miles to use tools? Or will I just use the “Screw It” Cave? I have fought her for 2 falls now. I quit in the Fall. So I
know how cunning she can be.

Fall – A Lesson About Quit Maintenance

Some ideas might be fake dip, I know some guys that use it well in to the comma. I don’t use it but I won’t knock ya for staying clean. Seeds are always with on a hunting, camping trip. That’s like water now.  I even like the beef jerky chew stuff. (Is that fake?) I make and reiterate my promise every time I go in to town, too more than one person. You need to make your plans, set your tools up before. Remember it’s your quit. How bad do you want it?

Sincerely,
